Jamba Weekly Agendas Spring 2026

Please follow this template so that all coaches/teams are doing the same thing:
---
Segments will be 15 minutes long, ending with 10 minutes of PASS TAG

All sessions will do the same agenda weekly. Scale it up/down depending on the age of the kids. We want every level to be challenged.

  • ** Each pass starts with a ball fake: [Bounce Passes: Fake High/Pass Low]  --  [Non-Bounce Passes: Fake Low/ Pass High] **
  • Do each combination 5 times- Right Leg (RL) Forward Pivot, Left Leg (LL) Forward Pivot, RL Reverse Pivot, LL Reverse Pivot

Two Foot Finishes (Just watch first 2 Min of Video):
  • Have the kids run through the motion (1) several times without the ball, emphasizing the importance of being on balance, avoiding charges and being more in control playing off two feet
  • (1) 5 min- Start from the elbow, alternating kids between the right and left, with a simple two dribble quick/jump stop into a hand away finish (as shown in the video)
  • (2) 5 Min- Do the same move as above, now introduce a pump fake before the finish [using the same footwork as used in (1)]
  • (3) More Advanced- After coming to a two foot stop, then pump fake and the kids do a step through to finish with the off hand (Video)
WATCH VIDEO
---
Additional Material
---
Playing off 2 feet Live:
  • 5 minutes of the drill shown in the video below--one dribble power stop and finish, however after they do it a couple time then have one player play defense and try to stop the offense from scoring. Once everyone has gone through once, switch the defender- Have this going on BOTH sides of the basket so kids are getting more reps and the offense switches sides each time they go
  • Remainder of the time we are going live (1 v 1):
  1. Players start on the same wing, one on offense and one on defense (defense is playing dummy)
  2. Player with the ball makes a move out of the triple threat (jab step or jab crossover) and must come to a two-foot stop in the key, pivot to make a pass back to the defender (who is still on the wing)
  3. When the player catches the ball, the passer is now closing out and we are going live. The player now on offense must make a move to try to score, but must do so finishing off two feet
WATCH VIDEO
Week 7- May 10-14 (Playoffs)
---
20 Minutes Total
---
Two Ball, Partner Passing (10 Min):
  • Start with partner bounce passes, move to one handed push passes
  • Build up to more advanced passes
  • Emphasize NO rainbow passes
  • All passes should be crisp laser passes
WATCH VIDEO
---
Keep Away Passing (10 Minutes)
---
Two passers and one player in the middle:
  • Please do not call this Monkey in the Middle to the kids--call it keep away
  • Fake High, Go Low -- Fake Low, Go High
  • Offense must wait for the defender to start guarding them to make the pass
  • No Rainbow Passes
  • Defender must get a deflection to move to offense
WATCH VIDEO
Week 8- May 17-21 (Finals)
---
Team practice to focus on what you need to do in the final game
---
---
Extra Week
---
20 Minutes- Get into as much as you can
---
If you don't have enough to go 3 v 3, you have two options: 1) Have the coach play (if you are one short) 2) Go 2v2 and you are permanent offense
---
Pass and Screen Away- Offense and Defense:
  • 3 on 0 OFFENSE--just to show the motion and options available - Emphasize moving without the ball, cut hard, wait for screens and replace open areas
  • 3 on 3 DUMMY DEFENSE: Go over the defensive concepts: - Forcing man to weak hand (on the ball) - On the line, Up the Line (one pass away) - Jump to the ball, help midline/nail (two passes away)
WATCH VIDEO
