- Catching the ball and footwork = every time the ball hits the ground, is dropped, or a player travels/dribbles--this allows one player to re-enter the game
- ** The RUNNERS now have a basketball and must continuously dribble to avoid being tagged--This will work on dribble moves, change of direction
- ** The TAGGERS now get TWO dribbles, and must come to a two-foot stop before making a tag. This will work on a quick/jump stop and pivot footwork
- Keep games to 60-75 seconds and then rotate Taggers and Runners

| Players will work on open court moves, making the moves three (3) times per trip up the court--with the next player going when the person in front of them has passed half court. Do each move six (6) total times for a total of three (3) times up and down the floor. Details to focus on: |

- stay low and compact as they make the move
- if the player loses the ball, shout BALL, BALL, BALL so that everyone is aware a ball is on the floor

| 10 Minutes- Outside Hip Rotation:- Go over the footwork, demonstrate how to pop hops open
- Explain how it is another way to create space and get the defender to back up
- Have all the kids perform the footwork without the basketball
- Once they have it, now do it with a basketball
- Have players go 1 v 0 and once they rotate hips, make a move to the basket

- Each game, insert a new constraint: only dribble with offhand, must do a between the legs before unfreezing someone, etc. Get creative and have fun with it
- The goal is to do almost 30 minutes of ball handling in a fun environment
- Get the coaches involved with the games

| Depending on the number of kids and space, now is the time to play full court games using the side hoops. We can have kids sit on the side, however rotate the groups/ages every 10 minutes |

| - Have two groups-- older and younger
- When kids get knocked out, they can get back in by doing 30-pound dribbles with their off hand
- Do 60 second segments. After 60 seconds, anyone who is out is now out and must then form the new out of bounds boundary
- Each 60 seconds, as the group gets smaller, make the space they can dribble in smaller--surrounded by those that are out
- Kids that are out that are forming the boundary, must dribble the entire time while trying to steal from position. They can only pivot and are not allowed to move their other foot
