Bolar/Triple Threat Academy Basketball School
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

This Project, founded in 2001, is a partnership between Bolar Sports  Gym Solutions, owned by Rogerio Werneck of Brazil, and Triple Threat Academy, owned by Tony Freccero of the United States. BOLAR gives underprivileged students of Rio a place to go every day to keep them off the streets, and through basketball strives to teach lessons they can carry with them throughout their lives. BOLAR believes that by offering its members opportunities like this, they can not only become better athletes, but better people. BOLAR focuses on the importance of education, both on  and off the court, to build a better life for members and their families.

Bolar has already helped hundreds of kids develop into young men and learn the value of teamwork and dedication.  Values stressed on a daily basis are: Passion, Discipline, Selflessness, Respect, Perspective, Responsibility, Resilience, Imagination, Leadership, and Courage.
